University of Rwanda College of Business and Economics
WHY THIS CAMPAIGN
I need financial help of $1000 so that I can be enabled to complete my final year of Business Information Technology at the University of Rwanda. For the past three years of my schooling, I was fortunate enough to have my education financed by a family member. However, this individual has had challenging life circumstances and he is not able to continue supporting my education. My single mother, a widow of 1994 genocide, is not able to pay my school fees. I will appreciate your contribution.
In Rwanda, the cost and mode of transportation need huge improvements. I envision to become an entrepreneur who will contribute towards better mobility solutions enabled by technology in our country so that people won't have to ride crowded buses or opt for buying very old second hand cars.
From 2011 until 2016, I was a student leader of AERG, an association for students who survived the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. I was in charge of sourcing a budget that other student orphans who had no relatives would use in school vacations for their daily sustenance until they came back to school. My leadership impacted over 400 members of our association. In 2015, interned for AC Group and informed Rwandans about the use of Tap &Go, a cashless payment system in buses in Rwanda.
